[1] וַיְהִי דְבַר־יְהוָה אֶל־יֵהוּא בֶן־חֲנָנִי עַל־בַּעְשָׁא לֵאמֹר ׃#
[1] Bấy giờ, lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cho Giê-hu, con trai của Hu-na-ni, nghịch cùng Ba-ê-sa, mà rằng:
[1] Jehu son of Hanani received from the LORD this message predicting Baasha’s downfall:
[2] יַעַן אֲשֶׁר הֲרִימֹתִיךָ מִן־הֶעָפָר וָאֶתֶּנְךָ נָגִיד עַל עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַתֵּלֶךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ יָרָבְעָם וַתַּחֲטִא אֶת־עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְהַכְעִיסֵנִי בְּחַטֹּאתָם ׃#
[2] Ta đã cất ngươi lên khỏi bụi đất và lập ngươi làm vua chúa dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ta; song ngươi đã đi theo đường của Giê-rô-bô-am, xui cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên ta phạm tội, và vì tội chúng nó, chọc giận ta.
[2] “I raised you up from the dust and made you ruler over my people Israel. Yet you followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged my people Israel to sin; their sins have made me angry.
[3] הִנְנִי מַבְעִיר אַחֲרֵי בַעְשָׁא וְאַחֲרֵי בֵיתוֹ וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־בֵּיתְךָ כְּבֵית יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט ׃#
[3] Nhân vì cớ ấy, ta sẽ quét sạch Ba-ê-sa và nhà nó, làm cho nhà nó giống như nhà Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai của Nê-bát vậy.
[3] So I am ready to burn up Baasha and his family, and make your family like the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat.
[4] הַמֵּת לְבַעְשָׁא בָּעִיר יֹאכְלוּ הַכְּלָבִים וְהַמֵּת לוֹ בַּשָּׂדֶה יֹאכְלוּ עוֹף הַשָּׁמָיִם ׃#
[4] Phàm kẻ nào thuộc về Ba-ê-sa chết tại trong thành sẽ bị chó ăn, phàm kẻ nào chết ngoài đồng sẽ bị chim trời rỉa ăn.
[4] Dogs will eat the members of Baasha’s family who die in the city, and the birds of the sky will eat the ones who die in the country.”
[5] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי בַעְשָׁא וַאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה וּגְבוּרָתוֹ הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#
[5] Các công việc khác của Ba-ê-sa, những việc người làm, và quyền thế người, đều đã chép trong sách sử ký của các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.
[5] The rest of the events of Baasha’s reign, including his accomplishments and successes, are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.
[6] וַיִּשְׁכַּב בַּעְשָׁא עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּתִרְצָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ אֵלָה בְנוֹ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[6] Ba-ê-sa an giấc cùng các tổ phụ người, và được chôn tại Tiệt-sa, Ê-la, con trai người, kế vị người.
[6] Baasha passed away and was buried in Tirzah. His son Elah replaced him as king.
[7] וְגַם בְּיַד־יֵהוּא בֶן־חֲנָנִי הַנָּבִיא דְּבַר־יְהוָה הָיָה אֶל־בַּעְשָׁא וְאֶל־בֵּיתוֹ וְעַל כָּל־הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לְהַכְעִיסוֹ בְּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו לִהְיוֹת כְּבֵית יָרָבְעָם וְעַל אֲשֶׁר־הִכָּה אֹתוֹ ׃ פ#
[7] Lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va lại cậy tiên tri Giê-hu, con trai Ha-na-ni, mà phán nghịch cùng Ba-ê-sa và nhà người, chẳng những vì cớ các tội ác của người đã làm trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, lấy công việc của tay mình mà chọc cho Ngài giận, và vì làm giống như nhà của Giê-rô-bô-am, mà lại bởi vì người đã hủy diệt nhà ấy.
[7] The prophet Jehu son of Hanani received from the LORD the message predicting the downfall of Baasha and his family because of all the evil Baasha had done in the sight of the LORD. His actions angered the LORD (including the way he had destroyed Jeroboam’s dynasty), so that his family ended up like Jeroboam’s.
[8] בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וָשֵׁשׁ שָׁנָה לְאָסָא מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ אֵלָה בֶן־בַּעְשָׁא עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתִרְצָה שְׁנָתָיִם ׃#
[8] Năm thứ hai mươi sáu đời A-sa, vua Giu-đa, thì Ê-la, con trai Ba-ê-sa, lên làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên. Người ở tại Tiệt-sa, và cai trị hai năm.
[8] In the twenty-sixth year of King Asa’s reign over Judah, Baasha’s son Elah became king over Israel; he ruled in Tirzah for two years.
[9] וַיִּקְשֹׁר עָלָיו עַבְדּוֹ זִמְרִי שַׂר מַחֲצִית הָרָכֶב וְהוּא בְתִרְצָה שֹׁתֶה שִׁכּוֹר בֵּית אַרְצָא אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַבַּיִת בְּתִרְצָה ׃#
[9] Xim-ri, kẻ tôi tớ Ê-la, làm tướng coi phân nửa xe binh, làm phản người. Ê-la, ở Tiệt-sa, làm quan cai đền người tại thành ấy.
[9] His servant Zimri, a commander of half of his chariot force, conspired against him. While Elah was drinking heavily at the house of Arza, who supervised the palace in Tirzah,
[10] וַיָּבֹא זִמְרִי וַיַּכֵּהוּ וַיְמִיתֵהוּ בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וָשֶׁבַע לְאָסָא מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[10] Xim-ri bèn vào giết người, nhằm năm hai mươi bảy đời A-sa, vua Giu-đa, và cai trị thay cho người.
[10] Zimri came in and struck him dead. (This happened in the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah.) Zimri replaced Elah as king.
[11] וַיְהִי בְמָלְכוֹ כְּשִׁבְתּוֹ עַל־כִּסְאוֹ הִכָּה אֶת־כָּל־בֵּית בַּעְשָׁא לֹא־הִשְׁאִיר לוֹ מַשְׁתִּין בְּקִיר וְגֹאֲלָיו וְרֵעֵהוּ ׃#
[11] Xảy khi Xim-ri vừa lên ngôi làm vua, thì người giết hết thảy nhà Ba-ê-sa, chẳng để lại một nam đinh nào hết, hoặc bà con hay là bằng hữu người cũng vậy.
[11] When he became king and occupied the throne, he killed Baasha’s entire family. He did not spare any male belonging to him; he killed his relatives and his friends.
[12] וַיַּשְׁמֵד זִמְרִי אֵת כָּל־בֵּית בַּעְשָׁא כִּדְבַר יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֶל־בַּעְשָׁא בְּיַד יֵהוּא הַנָּבִיא ׃#
[12] Vì các tội lỗi mà Ba-ê-sa và Ê-la con trai người đã phạm, tức là tội đã gây cho Y-sơ-ra-ên can phạm, và vì các sự hư không của chúng nó chọc giận Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên,
[12] Zimri destroyed Baasha’s entire family, just as the LORD had predicted to Baasha through Jehu the prophet.
[13] אֶל כָּל־חַטֹּאות בַּעְשָׁא וְחַטֹּאות אֵלָה בְנוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטְאוּ וַאֲשֶׁר הֶחֱטִיאוּ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְהַכְעִיס אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּהַבְלֵיהֶם ׃#
[13] nên Xim-ri diệt hết cả nhà Ba-ê-sa, y như lời Ðức Giê-hô-va đã cậy miệng Giê-hu là đấng tiên tri, mà phán ra cho Ba-ê-sa.
[13] This happened because of all the sins which Baasha and his son Elah committed and which they made Israel commit. They angered the LORD God of Israel with their worthless idols.
[14] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי אֵלָה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלוֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃ פ#
[14] Các công việc khác của Ê-la, và mọi việc người làm, đều đã chép trong sử ký của các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.
[14] The rest of the events of Elah’s reign, including all his accomplishments, are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.
[15] בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וָשֶׁבַע שָׁנָה לְאָסָא מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ זִמְרִי שִׁבְעַת יָמִים בְּתִרְצָה וְהָעָם חֹנִים עַל־גִּבְּתוֹן אֲשֶׁר לַפְּלִשְׁתִּים ׃#
[15] Năm thứ hai mươi bảy đời A-sa, vua Giu-đa, thì Xim-ri lên ngôi làm vua bảy ngày tại Tiệt-sa. Bấy giờ, quân lính Y-sơ-ra-ên đương vây Ghi-bê-thôn, là thành vốn thuộc về dân Phi-li-tin.
[15] In the twenty-seventh year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Zimri became king over Israel; he ruled for seven days in Tirzah. Zimri’s revolt took place while the army was deployed in Gibbethon, which was in Philistine territory.
[16] וַיִּשְׁמַע הָעָם הַחֹנִים לֵאמֹר קָשַׁר זִמְרִי וְגַם הִכָּה אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיַּמְלִכוּ כָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־עָמְרִי שַׂר־צָבָא עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא בַּמַּחֲנֶה ׃#
[16] Khi đạo binh hay tin này rằng: Xim-ri đã phản nghịch và giết vua, thì cũng một ngày đó, trong dinh, cả Y-sơ-ra-ên đều lập Ôm-ri, là quan tổng binh, làm vua trên Y-sơ-ra-ên.
[16] While deployed there, the army received this report: “Zimri has conspired against the king and assassinated him.” So all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that very day in the camp.
[17] וַיַּעֲלֶה עָמְרִי וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל עִמּוֹ מִגִּבְּתוֹן וַיָּצֻרוּ עַל־תִּרְצָה ׃#
[17] Ôm-ri và cả Y-sơ-ra-ên từ Ghi-bê-thôn đi lên vây Tiệt-sa.
[17] Omri and all Israel went up from Gibbethon and besieged Tirzah.
[18] וַיְהִי כִּרְאוֹת זִמְרִי כִּי־נִלְכְּדָה הָעִיר וַיָּבֹא אֶל־אַרְמוֹן בֵּית־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיִּשְׂרֹף עָלָיו אֶת־בֵּית־מֶלֶךְ בָּאֵשׁ וַיָּמֹת ׃#
[18] Xảy khi Xim-ri thấy thành đã bị hãm, thì đi vào đồn lũy của cung vua mà đốt chính mình luôn với cung vua, rồi chết
[18] When Zimri saw that the city was captured, he went into the fortified area of the royal palace. He set the palace on fire and died in the flames.
[19] עַל־חַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר חָטָא לַעֲשׂוֹת הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לָלֶכֶת בְּדֶרֶךְ יָרָבְעָם וּבְחַטָּאתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לְהַחֲטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#
[19] vì những tội lỗi người đã phạm, làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, bắt chước theo đường của Giê-rô-bô-am đã phạm, tức tội đã gây cho Y-sơ-ra-ên can phạm.
[19] This happened because of the sins he committed. He did evil in the sight of the LORD and followed in Jeroboam’s footsteps and encouraged Israel to continue sinning.
[20] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי זִמְרִי וְקִשְׁרוֹ אֲשֶׁר קָשָׁר הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃ פ#
[20] Các chuyện khác của Xim-ri, sự người làm phản, đều đã chép trong sử ký của các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.
[20] The rest of the events of Zimri’s reign, including the details of his revolt, are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.
[21] אָז יֵחָלֵק הָעָם יִשְׂרָאֵל לַחֵצִי חֲצִי הָעָם הָיָה אַחֲרֵי תִבְנִי בֶן־גִּינַת לְהַמְלִיכוֹ וְהַחֲצִי אַחֲרֵי עָמְרִי ׃#
[21] Bấy giờ, dân Y-sơ-ra-ên chia làm hai phe: phe này theo Típ-ni, con trai Ghi-nát, và muốn lập người làm vua; phe kia theo Ôm-ri.
[21] At that time the people of Israel were divided in their loyalties. Half the people supported Tibni son of Ginath and wanted to make him king; the other half supported Omri.
[22] וַיֶּחֱזַק הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אַחֲרֵי עָמְרִי אֶת־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר אַחֲרֵי תִּבְנִי בֶן־גִּינַת וַיָּמָת תִּבְנִי וַיִּמְלֹךְ עָמְרִי ׃ פ#
[22] Nhưng phe theo Ôm-ri thắng hơn phe theo Típ-ni, con trai Ghi-nát. Vậy, Típ-ni chết và Ôm-ri cai trị.
[22] Omri’s supporters were stronger than those who supported Tibni son of Ginath. Tibni died; Omri became king.
[23] בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וְאַחַת שָׁנָה לְאָסָא מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ עָמְרִי עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה בְּתִרְצָה מָלַךְ שֵׁשׁ־שָׁנִים ׃#
[23] Năm thứ ba mươi mốt đời A-sa, vua Giu-đa, thì Ôm-ri lên ngôi làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, và cai trị mười hai năm. Người trị vì sáu năm tại Tiệt-sa.
[23] In the thirty-first year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri became king over Israel. He ruled for twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.
[24] וַיִּקֶן אֶת־הָהָר שֹׁמְרוֹן מֵאֶת שֶׁמֶר בְּכִכְּרַיִם כָּסֶף וַיִּבֶן אֶת־הָהָר וַיִּקְרָא אֶת־שֵׁם הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה עַל שֶׁם־שֶׁמֶר אֲדֹנֵי הָהָר שֹׁמְרוֹן ׃#
[24] Ðoạn, người mua hòn núi Sa-ma-ri của Sê-me, giá là hai ta lâng bạc. Trên núi ấy, người cất một cái thành lấy tên Sê-me, là tên chủ núi Sa-ma-ri mà đặt tên cho thành.
[24] He purchased the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver. He launched a construction project there and named the city he built after Shemer, the former owner of the hill of Samaria.
[25] וַיַּעֲשֶׂה עָמְרִי הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה וַיָּרַע מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר לְפָנָיו ׃#
[25] Ôm-ri làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, ăn ở tệ hơn các người tiên bối người.
[25] Omri did more evil in the sight of the LORD than all who were before him.
[26] וַיֵּלֶךְ בְּכָל־דֶּרֶךְ יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט וּבְחַטֹּאתָיו אֲשֶׁר הֶחֱטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְהַכְעִיס אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּהַבְלֵיהֶם ׃#
[26] Trong mọi sự, người bắt chước theo đường Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Nê-bát, phạm tội mà Giê-rô-bô-am đã phạm, tức tội đã gây cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên con phạm, và lấy những sự hư không mình mà chọc giận Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên.
[26] He followed in the footsteps of Jeroboam son of Nebat and encouraged Israel to sin; they angered the LORD God of Israel with their worthless idols.
[27] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי עָמְרִי אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה וּגְבוּרָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#
[27] Các chuyện khác của Ôm-ri, những công việc người làm, và quyền thế người, đều đã ghi trong sử ký của các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.

[28] וַיִּשְׁכַּב עָמְרִי עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיִּקָּבֵר בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן וַיִּמְלֹךְ אַחְאָב בְּנוֹ תַּחְתָּיו ׃ פ#
[28] Ôm-ri an giấc với tổ phụ mình, và được chôn tại Sa-ma-ri. A-háp, con trai người, kế vị người.
[28] Omri passed away and was buried in Samaria. His son Ahab replaced him as king.
[29] וְאַחְאָב בֶּן־עָמְרִי מָלַךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנָה לְאָסָא מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ אַחְאָב בֶּן־עָמְרִי עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁתַּיִם שָׁנָה ׃#
[29] Năm thứ ba mươi tám đời A-sa, vua Giu-đa, thì A-háp, con trai Ôm-ri, lên ngôi làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên; người ở Sa-ma-ri, cai trị trên Y-sơ-ra-ên hai mươi hai năm.
[29] In the thirty-eighth year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri’s son Ahab became king over Israel. Ahab son of Omri ruled over Israel for twenty-two years in Samaria.
[30] וַיַּעַשׂ אַחְאָב בֶּן־עָמְרִי הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר לְפָנָיו ׃#
[30] A-háp, con trai Ôm-ri, làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va hơn hết thảy các người tiên bối mình.
[30] Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the sight of the LORD than all who were before him.
[31] וַיְהִי הֲנָקֵל לֶכְתּוֹ בְּחַטֹּאות יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט וַיִּקַּח אִשָּׁה אֶת־אִיזֶבֶל בַּת־אֶתְבַּעַל מֶלֶךְ צִידֹנִים וַיֵּלֶךְ וַיַּעֲבֹד אֶת־הַבַּעַל וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ לוֹ ׃#
[31] Vả, người lấy sự bắt chước theo tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Nê-bát, làm nhỏ mọn, nên người đi lấy Giê-sa-bên, con gái Ết-ba-anh, vua dân Si-đôn, mà làm vợ; người cũng đi hầu việc Ba-anh và thờ lạy nó.
[31] As if following in the sinful footsteps of Jeroboam son of Nebat were not bad enough, he married Jezebel the daughter of King Ethbaal of the Sidonians. Then he worshiped and bowed to Baal.
[32] וַיָּקֶם מִזְבֵּחַ לַבָּעַל בֵּית הַבַּעַל אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן ׃#
[32] Người lập một bàn thờ cho Ba-anh tại trong miễu của Ba-anh mà người đã cất tại Sa-ma-ri.
[32] He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal he had built in Samaria.
[33] וַיַּעַשׂ אַחְאָב אֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרָה וַיּוֹסֶף אַחְאָב לַעֲשׂוֹת לְהַכְעִיס אֶת־יְהוָֹה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכֹּל מַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ לְפָנָיו ׃#
[33] A-háp cũng dựng lên một hình tượng Át-tạt-tê. Vậy, A-háp làm nhiều điều ác, chọc giận Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên hơn các vua Y-sơ-ra-ên trước mình.
[33] Ahab also made an Asherah pole; he did more to anger the LORD God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
[34] בְּיָמָיו בָּנָה חִיאֵל בֵּית הָאֱלִי אֶת־יְרִיחֹה בַּאֲבִירָם בְּכֹרוֹ יִסְּדָהּ וּבִשְׂגִיב צְעִירוֹ הִצִּיב דְּלָתֶיהָ כִּדְבַר יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר בְּיַד יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן־נוּן ׃ ס#
[34] Trong đời A-háp, Hi-ên ở Bê-tên, xây lại thành Giê-ri-cô. Khi người đặt cái nền thì mất A-bi-ram, con trưởng nam mình, lúc dựng các cửa thì mất Sê-gúp, con út mình, theo như lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va đã cậy Giô-suê, con trai của Nun, mà phán ra.
[34] During Ahab’s reign, Hiel the Bethelite rebuilt Jericho. Abiram, his firstborn son, died when he laid the foundation; Segub, his youngest son, died when he erected its gates, just as the LORD had warned through Joshua son of Nun.
