[1] בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וָשֶׁבַע שָׁנָה לְיָרָבְעָם מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל מָלַךְ עֲזַרְיָה בֶן־אֲמַצְיָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה ׃#
[1] Năm thứ hai mươi bảy đời Giê-rô-bô-am, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì A-xa-ria, con trai A-ma-xia, vua Giu-đa, lên làm vua.
[1] In the twenty-seventh year of King Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Amaziah’s son Azariah became king over Judah.
[2] בֶּן־שֵׁשׁ עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה הָיָה בְמָלְכוֹ וַחֲמִשִּׁים וּשְׁתַּיִם שָׁנָה מָלַךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָםִ וְשֵׁם אִמּוֹ יְכָלְיָהוּ מִירוּשָׁלִָם ׃#
[2] Người được mười sáu tuổi khi lên ngôi, và cai trị năm mươi hai năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. Mẹ người tên là Giê-cô-lia, quê ở Giê-ru-sa-lem.
[2] He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecholiah, who was from Jerusalem.
[3] וַיַּעַשׂ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה אֲמַצְיָהוּ אָבִיו ׃#
[3] Người làm điều thiện trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, cứ theo mọi điều của A-ma-xia, cha người đã làm.
[3] He did what the LORD approved, just as his father Amaziah had done.
[4] רַק הַבָּמוֹת לֹא־סָרוּ עוֹד הָעָם מְזַבְּחִים וּמְקַטְּרִים בַּבָּמוֹת ׃#
[4] Thế mà người không dỡ các nơi cao đi; dân sự cứ cúng tế và xông hương trên các nơi cao.
[4] But the high places were not eliminated; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense on the high places.
[5] וַיְנַגַּע יְהוָה אֶת־הַמֶּלֶךְ וַיְהִי מְצֹרָע עַד־יוֹם מֹתוֹ וַיֵּשֶׁב בְּבֵית הַחָפְשִׁית וְיוֹתָם בֶּן־הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־הַבַּיִת שֹׁפֵט אֶת־עַם הָאָרֶץ ׃#
[5] Ðức Giê-hô-va giáng họa cho vua, khiến bị bịnh phung cho đến ngày người chết; người phải rút ở trong nhà riêng. Giô-tham, con trai vua, cai quản đền vua và xét đoán dân sự của xứ.
[5] The LORD afflicted the king with an illness; he suffered from a skin disease until the day he died. He lived in separate quarters, while his son Jotham was in charge of the palace and ruled over the people of the land.
[6] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי עֲזַרְיָהוּ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה ׃#

[7] וַיִּשְׁכַּב עֲזַרְיָה עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיִּקְבְּרוּ אֹתוֹ עִם־אֲבֹתָיו בְּעִיר דָּוִד וַיִּמְלֹךְ יוֹתָם בְּנוֹ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[7] A-xa-ria an giấc cùng các tổ phụ người, và được chôn cùng họ tại trong thành Ða-vít. Giô-tham, con trai người, kế vị người.
[7] Azariah passed away and was buried with his ancestors in the city of David. His son Jotham replaced him as king.
[8] פ בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנָה לַעֲזַרְיָהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ זְכַרְיָהוּ בֶן־יָרָבְעָם עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן שִׁשָּׁה חֳדָשִׁים ׃#
[8] Năm thứ ba mươi tám đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, Xa-cha-ri, con trai Giê-rô-bô-am, lên làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Sa-ma-ri; người cai trị sáu tháng.
[8] In the thirty-eighth year of King Azariah’s reign over Judah, Jeroboam’s son Zechariah became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria for six months.
[9] וַיַּעַשׂ הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ אֲבֹתָיו לֹא סָר מֵחַטֹּאות יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט אֲשֶׁר הֶחֱטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#
[9] Người làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, y như các tổ phụ mình đã làm; người không từ bỏ tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Nê-bát, là tội đã gây cho Y-sơ-ra-ên phạm tội.
[9] He did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his ancestors had done. He did not repudiate the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat who encouraged Israel to sin.
[10] וַיִּקְשֹׁר עָלָיו שַׁלֻּם בֶּן־יָבֵשׁ וַיַּכֵּהוּ קָבָלְ־עָם וַיְמִיתֵהוּ וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[10] Vả, Sa-lum, con trai Gia-be, dấy nghịch cùng người, đánh giết người tại trước mặt dân sự; đoạn làm vua thế cho người.
[10] Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against him; he assassinated him in Ibleam and took his place as king.
[11] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי זְכַרְיָה הִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#

[12] הוּא דְבַר־יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֶל־יֵהוּא לֵאמֹר בְּנֵי רְבִיעִים יֵשְׁבוּ לְךָ עַל־כִּסֵּא יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיְהִי־כֵן ׃ פ#
[12] Như vậy là ứng nghiệm lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cho Giê-hu rằng: Dòng dõi ngươi sẽ ngồi trên ngôi Y-sơ-ra-ên cho đến đời thứ tư. Thật vậy, ấy là điều đã xảy đến.
[12] His assassination brought to fulfillment the LORD’s word to Jehu, “Four generations of your descendants will rule over Israel.” That is exactly what happened.
[13] שַׁלּוּם בֶּן־יָבֵישׁ מָלַךְ בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע שָׁנָה לְעֻזִיָּה מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ יֶרַח־יָמִים בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן ׃#
[13] Năm thứ ba mươi chín đời Ô-xia, vua Giu-đa, Sa-lum, con trai Gia-be, lên làm vua, cai trị một tháng tại Sa-ma-ri.
[13] Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of King Uzziah’s reign over Judah. He reigned for one month in Samaria.
[14] וַיַּעַל מְנַחֵם בֶּן־גָּדִי מִתִּרְצָה וַיָּבֹא שֹׁמְרוֹן וַיַּךְ אֶת־שַׁלּוּם בֶּן־יָבֵישׁ בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן וַיְמִיתֵהוּ וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[14] Mê-na-hem, con trai Ga-đi, ở Tiệt sa đi lên Sa-ma-ri, và giết người đi. Ðoạn, Mê-ha-hem lên làm vua thế cho.
[14] Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria and attacked Shallum son of Jabesh. He killed him and took his place as king.
[15] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי שַׁלּוּם וְקִשְׁרוֹ אֲשֶׁר קָשָׁר הִנָּם כְּתֻבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃ ס#

[16] אָז יַכֶּה־מְנַחֵם אֶת־תִּפְסַח וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּהּ וְאֶת־גְּבוּלֶיהָ מִתִּרְצָה כִּי לֹא פָתַח וַיַּךְ אֵת כָּל־הֶהָרוֹתֶיהָ בִּקֵּעַ ׃ פ#
[16] Bấy giờ, Mê-na-hem đi khỏi Tiệt-sa, hãm đánh Típ-sắc, cả dân sự ở trong, và khắp địa hạt chung quanh, bởi vì thành ấy không khứng mở cửa cho; nên người đánh nó, và mổ bụng hết thảy người đàn bà có nghén ở tại đó.
[16] At that time Menahem came from Tirzah and attacked Tiphsah. He struck down all who lived in the city and the surrounding territory, because they would not surrender. He even ripped open the pregnant women.
[17] בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וָתֵשַׁע שָׁנָה לַעֲזַרְיָה מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ מְנַחֵם בֶּן־גָּדִי עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל עֶשֶׂר שָׁנִים בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן ׃#
[17] Năm thứ ba mươi chín đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, thì Mê-na-hem, con trai Ga-đi, lên làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, và cai trị mười năm tại Sa-ma-ri.
[17] In the thirty-ninth year of King Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel. He reigned for twelve years in Samaria.
[18] וַיַּעַשׂ הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לֹא סָר מֵעַל חַטֹּאות יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט אֲשֶׁר־הֶחֱטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל כָּל־יָמָיו ׃#
[18] Người làm điều ác trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va; trọn đời chẳng hề lìa khỏi các tội lỗi của Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Nê-bát, là tội đã gây cho Y-sơ-ra-ên phạm tội.
[18] He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not repudiate the sinful ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat who encouraged Israel to sin. During his reign,
[19] בָּא פוּל מֶלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר עַל־הָאָרֶץ וַיִּתֵּן מְנַחֵם לְפוּל אֶלֶף כִּכַּר־כָּסֶף לִהְיוֹת יָדָיו אִתּוֹ לְהַחֲזִיק הַמַּמְלָכָה בְּיָדוֹ ׃#
[19] Phun, vua A-si-ri, loán đến trong xứ; Mê-na-hem bèn nộp cho người một ngàn ta lâng bạc, để người giúp đỡ làm cho nước mình đặng vững vàng trong tay người.
[19] Pul king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem paid him a thousand talents of silver to gain his support and to solidify his control of the kingdom.
[20] וַיֹּצֵא מְנַחֵם אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל כָּל־גִּבּוֹרֵי הַחַיִל לָתֵת לְמֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר חֲמִשִּׁים שְׁקָלִים כֶּסֶף לְאִישׁ אֶחָד וַיָּשָׁב מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר וְלֹא־עָמַד שָׁם בָּאָרֶץ ׃#
[20] Mê-na-hem thâu lấy tiền bạc ấy nơi dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, tức nơi nhữn người có tài sản nhiều, cứ mỗi người năm mươi siếc lơ bạc, đặng nộp cho vua A-si-ri. Ðoạn, vua A-si-ri trở về, chẳng ở lâu tại xứ.
[20] Menahem got this silver by taxing all the wealthy men in Israel; he took fifty shekels of silver from each one of them and paid it to the king of Assyria. Then the king of Assyria left; he did not stay there in the land.
[21] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי מְנַחֵם וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלוֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#

[23] Năm thứ năm mươi đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, thì Phê-ca-hia, con trai Mê-na-hem, lên làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên tại Sa-ma-ri, và cai trị hai năm.
[23] In the fiftieth year of King Azariah’s reign over Judah, Menahem’s son Pekahiah became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria for two years.
[24] וַיַּעַשׂ הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לֹא סָר מֵחַטֹּאות יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט אֲשֶׁר הֶחֱטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#

[25] וַיִּקְשֹׁר עָלָיו פֶּקַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָהוּ שָׁלִישׁוֹ וַיַּכֵּהוּ בְשֹׁמְרוֹן בְּאַרְמוֹן בֵּית־מֶלֶךְ אֶת־אַרְגֹּב וְאֶת־הָאַרְיֵה וְעִמּוֹ חֲמִשִּׁים אִישׁ מִבְּנֵי גִלְעָדִים וַיְמִיתֵהוּ וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו ׃#
[25] Phê-ca, con trai Rê-ma-lia, quan tổng binh người, phản nghịch người, và đánh người tại Sa-ma-ri, trong thành lũy của đền vua, luôn với Aït-gốp và A-ri-ê. Người có năm mươi người Ga-la-át theo mình. Vậy người giết Phê-ca-hia và cai trị thế cho.
[25] His officer Pekah son of Remaliah conspired against him. He and fifty Gileadites assassinated Pekahiah, as well as Argob and Arieh, in Samaria in the fortress of the royal palace. Pekah then took his place as king.
[26] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי פְקַחְיָה וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃ פ#

[27] Năm thứ năm mươi hai đời A-xa-ria, vua Giu-đa, thì Phê-ca, con trai Rê-ma-lia, lên làm vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, tại Sa-ma-ri, và cai trị hai mươi năm.
[27] In the fifty-second year of King Azariah’s reign over Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel. He reigned in Samaria for twenty years.
[28] וַיַּעַשׂ הָרַע בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לֹא סָר מִן־חַטֹּאות יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־נְבָט אֲשֶׁר הֶחֱטִיא אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃#

[29] בִּימֵי פֶּקַח מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּא תִּגְלַת פִּלְאֶסֶר מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר וַיִּקַּח אֶת־עִיּוֹן וְאֶת־אָבֵל בֵּית־מַעֲכָה וְאֶת־יָנוֹחַ וְאֶת־קֶדֶשׁ וְאֶת־חָצוֹר וְאֶת־הַגִּלְעָד וְאֶת־הַגָּלִילָה כֹּל אֶרֶץ נַפְתָּלִי וַיַּגְלֵם אַשּׁוּרָה ׃#
[29] Trong đời Phê-ca, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên, Tiếc-la-Phi-lê-se, vua A-si-ri, loán đến chiếm lấy Y-giôn, A-bên-Bết-Ma-ca, Gia-nô-ác, Kê-đe, Hát-so, miền Ga-la-át, miền Ga-li-lê, và cả địa phận Nép-ta-li; đoạn đem dân sự các sứ ấy sang A-si-ri.
[29] During Pekah’s reign over Israel, King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, including all the territory of Naphtali. He deported the people to Assyria.
[30] וַיִּקְשָׁר־קֶשֶׁר הוֹשֵׁעַ בֶּן־אֵלָה עַל־פֶּקַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָהוּ וַיַּכֵּהוּ וַיְמִיתֵהוּ וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו בִּשְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים לְיוֹתָם בֶּן־עֻזִיָּה ׃#
[30] Ô-sê, con trai Ê-la, mưu phản Phê-ca, con trai Rê-ma-lia, và đánh giết người, rồi lên làm vua thế cho, nhằm năm thứ hai mươi đời Giô-tham, con trai Ô-xia.
[30] Hoshea son of Elah conspired against Pekah son of Remaliah. He assassinated him and took his place as king, in the twentieth year of the reign of Jotham son of Uzziah.
[31] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי־פֶקַח וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הִנָּם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל ׃ פ#

[32] In the second year of the reign of Israel’s King Pekah son of Remaliah, Uzziah’s son Jotham became king over Judah.
[33] בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ שָׁנָה הָיָה בְמָלְכוֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה מָלַךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָםִ וְשֵׁם אִמּוֹ יְרוּשָׁא בַּת־צָדוֹק ׃#
[33] Người được hai mươi lăm tuổi khi tức vị, cai trị mười sáu năm tại Giê-ru-sa-lem. mẹ người tên là Giê-ru-sa, con gái Xa-đốc.
[33] He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
[34] וַיַּעַשׂ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה עֻזִיָּהוּ אָבִיו עָשָׂה ׃#

[35] But the high places were not eliminated; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate to the LORD’s temple.
[36] וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי יוֹתָם אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה ׃#

[37] בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם הֵחֵל יְהוָה לְהַשְׁלִיחַ בִּיהוּדָה רְצִין מֶלֶךְ אֲרָם וְאֵת פֶּקַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָהוּ ׃#
[37] Trong lúc đó, Ðức Giê-hô-va khởi khiến Rê-xin, vua Sy-ri, và Phê-ca, con trai Rê-ma-lia, đến hãm đánh Giu-đa.
[37] In those days the LORD prompted King Rezin of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah to attack Judah.
[38] וַיִּשְׁכַּב יוֹתָם עִם־אֲבֹתָיו וַיִּקָּבֵר עִם־אֲבֹתָיו בְּעִיר דָּוִד אָבִיו וַיִּמְלֹךְ אָחָז בְּנוֹ תַּחְתָּיו ׃ פ#
[38] Giô-tham an giấc cùng các tổ phụ người, được chôn bên họ, tại thành Ða-vít, tổ tiên người. A-cha, con trai người, lên làm vua thế cho người.
[38] Jotham passed away and was buried with his ancestors in the city of his ancestor David. His son Ahaz replaced him as king.
